So,

I was able to get everything setup on my new Hackintosh, installed a few of my normal applications I use for my work at home.

But, for the life of me I can't figure out why my network is dog-squeeze slow. It takes anywhere from 20 seconds to 2 minutes to connect to any of the other machines on my local network, and my web surfing is quite slow as well, as it sometimes requires me to hit refresh a few times to give it a kick in the pants to get moving to the website.

All the other machines on my network are fine, I have a mix of real macs, PC's, and a few Linux machines, all work perfectly and blazingly fast.

Funny that this new hackintosh is by far the fastest as far as specs are concerned, but in use it is a dog for real work on the local network and on the internet.

I am using a GIGABYTE GA-EP43-UD3L motherboard, using its built in network jack.

Is there some setting or should I purchase a better NIC card, or are there settings I should be putting into my Leopard system to fix the problem?

Thanks for any help!
