Vaio Hackingtosh
I am using a vaio laptop model number vgn-ar730e. I have attempted to install iatkos v5i on a new partition i created from my vista install. I ran the installer and the first time after reboot, it would not start, the grey loading screen would coming on but then the image with the different language instructions to restart your computer by holding down the power button would appear. I tried doing another install, but now it just hangs while installing. It gets to about 75percent and then it just freezes with the color wheel just running. I would like to know what custimation options do i use to get a fresh install running.
My processor is a intel core 2 duo t8100 2.1ghz
Nvidia gforce 8400m gt
blu ray disc drive
3g of ram
If anyone has help for me it is greatly appreciated. I am a noob, and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Eh how did you customize? Try with another distro cuz I think iatkos v5i, is a pain in the arse for laptops, try iPC or Idebeb ;P always check the official sites to know the basics

I'm curious to know of your results as well. I've got a spare VGN-C290 laying around that would make a good hackint0sh

I tried installing with ideneb v1.4, it seems as though after reboot that it is starting to load, but then the grey apple screen shuts off and it goes dark, i dont know what custom settings i should be selecting, the only settings i selected were the main install, 9.5.0 Voodoo kernel, and nvidia NVdarwin 1.2.5. those are the only setting i have selected, please help with some custimization options that you may have that can help with a clean install.

I tried using iatkos v5i but it froze during installation at about 75percent, so i used ideneb v1.4, It installed but the custom files i have selected dont seem to give me a clean install since during restart, the gray screen with the apple logo appears, it runs, then the screen goes dark. I waited from 20min to 6hrs and nothing changed, but it seemed as though the harddrive was spinning at some point in the first 15 -20 min. I think it could be the nvidia kernels i select, but i have selected everything from nvkush, nvinjet, and nvdarwin, but with no luck. I tried porting the screen to my lcd tv but it just stayed blue screened. i dont know what the problem is or what custom options i should select.
