please can someone help me to upgrade to ipc 10.5.6 on an intell based pc.
i am currently using iatkos 10.5.5 and it works fine apart from the fact that i cannot access the internet.i guess this is down to the drivers not being compatible but that is just a guess (intel r 82562v card)so first question to upgrade is it possible to completly wipe my harddrive and install ipc 10.5.6 in the same way i installed 10.5.5 if not what do i need to do to install from the main page and where do i start.

ok to you pro,s out there this is probably basic stuff but i am not a pro and need the dummies guide to this.hope you can help i have checked out some links on this forum but they are a little vauge to the newbie's like me

You wanna install iPC cuz it doesnt have the drivers? just install them, dont need to install another distro... then update 10.5.6.

But if you really wanna use iPC just install it and thats it

Thankyou for your reply to my question.yes your right the main reason to upgrade was to try and get my internet to work again it is only my guess that ipc 10.5.6 has the drivers i need to get my internet to work but i dont know this for sure.......ok if it is possible to just install drivers alone without upgrading can you tell me how to do this as i havent a clue on where to find the correct drivers or how to install them without installing the complete disc 10.5.6................i can then worry about upgrading later.

oh sorry i am using a standalone HDD 40g/b in a intell sss2/sss3 Mobo

Yes you can install just the drivers, just post the LAN/WIFI chipset so we can help you
