Trouble at the very beginning of instal with iATKOS v7
New here, really hope I'm not annoying anyone with my n00b question, but I couldn't see it covered anywhere.
I've got an unallocated area of disk space for my installation, put the disc in and made it boot from it from bios.
It goes straight to the darwin/x86 boot v5 etc., but when I go to type in "-v" to start up with diagnostic messages, it scrolls through some text quickly then just reboots.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong? I've installed Vista Ultimate on another disk ( a sata one, this is going on an ide disk though) All installed in vista fine. As mentioned, iATKOS v7, i have 8gb DDR2 RAM, 9800gtx+, q9550 2.83 quad core.
(also, sometimes it goes to the apple screen for about 2 seconds, then just restarts again) sigh..
Edit: just saw that lots of other people are having the same problem e.g. :http://www.hackint0sh.org/f181/95940.htm
Hope this can get sorted soon and it's only a stupid little thing. Thanks again
