Tried at least 30 different ways... help please~
Hi experts ^^
i've tried many different ways to get this working.... but non of them was succeful....
i used kalyway 10.5.2 AMD & Intel, iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition
Socket AM2+ (94)
FOXCONN A7GM-S 2.0 (FAB-A)
AMD 780 G
OCZ DDR2 4GB memory...
it's SATA for HDD and IDE for DVD...
my problem is that when i use kalyway...
it restarts when i press enter with -v command
but iDeneb goes in some kind of black screen with a lots of texts and i've waited for like 2 hours... and it shows "still waiting for root device" like 10 times...
any idea? i tried all different ways to get this working... but it's not....
i configured HDD as Primary MASTER and DVD as Secondary MASTER
i also formated HDD as NTFS without volume... please HELP~!!! T.T
i've been trying to get this working for like 4 days now..... T.T
Try recongifuring your drives...
- leave the hard disk on Sata, set to ACHI mode in bios.
- either try and boot ideneb off an external USB dvd drive...or try switching your internal dvd to sata with a ide->sata converter
thank u but.....
it worked and passed that black with white text screen
but my mouse ain't working....
says ApplePS2Controller timed out or something....
and keyboard is working from language installation but mouse ain't working...
i use PS2 keyboard and mouse
any idea??? i have iDeneb 10.5.5 AMD
Go to best buy and get a PS/2 to USB converter cable; alternatively replace your keyboard and mouse. I could never get PS/2 peripherals working.

Things that result in badness for your install when you get it running: trying to install updates to the OS (not necessarily applications) from Apple Software Update, trying to run with more than 2 gigabytes of physical RAM installed, installing junk apps.
Also, install OSx86 Tools and frequently run the "repair permissions" options early in the life of your system especially before and after installing any new software.
yay~ but... T.T
aite... first of all thanks to u ^^
but.... it seems mad slow for some reason... took me about an hour to get to WELCOME scrren where i c "Welcome in iDeneb V1.3 10.5.5 intel/AMD with iDeneb apple logo and "<-" & "continue" button... from darwin screen where i input -v.....
does it suppose to take this long? or did i do something wrong?
it seems like loading takes long ass time ^^;
i have quad core AMD phenom II x4
with foxconn A7GM-s 2.0 mobo.
and firewire hardware installed... for my sound card which is M-Audio firewire 410 (i think i can download drivers for this from there website.)
and video card is Nvidia Geforce 250 GT (i think i can also download this from there site... but not 100% sure tho.)

still that beach ball thing circling around and nothing happens...
did i do something wrong?
this time i used iDeneb 1.4 10.5.5

i'm trying to install mac for my music software which is logic pro...
i just wanna use that program... that's all
P.S still need good setting for my computer tho... help me with that please.
(i checked my audio driver from their site and they do have mac OSX driver for my sound. so i can use that but... for my video card? they don't have it so which one should i choose...between NVinject or NCkush. or NVdarwin... it's Nvidia Geforce GTS 250...
Couple of things I think will help...
In my opinion, with AMD Hackint0shes, less is more. The more you try and push the envelope with your hardware, the more likely you'll have either an irrecoverable kernal panic or won't be able to install in the first place.
A couple of things with your machine:
(1) Remove 2 gigs of your 4, and leave the machine with 2 gigs of RAM. I was unable to get 4 gigs working and stable with the Voodoo kernal.
You said "i configured HDD as Primary MASTER and DVD as Secondary MASTER"?
Do you have an IDE hard disk and an IDE optical drive? The reason I ask is I was never able to get iDeneb to run successfully off an IDE optical drive. I had to use a USB external DVD drive for my install, and installed to an internal SATA drive. Following the install the internal IDE DVD drive works, but for some reason iDeneb wouldn't install from it. And I don't know if it will install to an IDE hard disk because I've never tried.
All my attempts were with iDeneb 1.4, don't know anything about 1.3.
So my second suggestion (2) if you have a bunch of IDE hardware in your machine, replace it or convert it to sata with converters.
See how far you get this way...eternally spinning beach ball sounds like a drive read problem...
(3) As far as video goes, I'm an ATI guy and used netkas's Radeon 4850 drivers to get my card running well. If I were you I'd try using the Nvidia inject that matches your card's RAM for now. Doesn't sound like you're building a gaming rig, so the important thing is stability, the ability to switch resolutions, and quartz support. FPS optimization doesn't enter the picture.

i've managed to find SATA DVD drive. and SATA HDD. not using convertor....
and i've passed all those "still waiting... root... "thing
and i'm stuck at license agreement screen...
don't no y? but it took me about 30 mins to see that screen and as soon as i c that license agreement screen... the mouse moves but it's in beach ball shape. instead of pointer (cursor) and nothing happens....
i've waited little over an hour. and still nothing....
so i had to turn it off.. but i'll try it again by removing my 2g ram. and c how it turns out. and really thank u and thank u for ur support.
and check ur private message. thank u.
i tried to run it with 2g or ram but still really slow loading...
here's how my computer is set up...
DVD drive = SATA
500GB HDD drive = SATA (i actually removed windows partition drive. one that i'm trying to install iDeneb is fresh new HDD from microcenter.)
AMD phenom II x4 3.2ghz
Foxconn A7GM-S 2.0 AM2+ (i believe it's SB700 and i saw something called SSE2, SSE3 by checking CPU-Z software)
Buffalo 2G DDR2 RAM (x1) -(i removed the other OCZ DDR2 2GB x2 dual channel = 4GB. it was total 6GB which i don't use all of them from windows anyway)
Wireless mouse (works perfectly)
PS2 keyboard (Works perfectly)
Power Supply 750 Watts
Nvidia Geforce GTS 250
still loading takes long time for some reason.... i checked youtube and it loads pretty quick with other people even tho they had dual core and stuff.....(of course different specs)
please help.... i've been working on this thing for like almost 6 days straight now...
Hang in there. I've been at it for about 2.5 weeks. Yesterday, my system had a kernal panic after trying to play a WMV file through flip4mac, and now I can't get it to boot. I hope to repair the install, but may have to start from scratch.

If you're slow to boot, you may not need the ACIP fix option during install.
