Default Totally stuck, would love some help!

    Hi,
Another noob here who has been trying for days and is about to give up. I've tried iAtkos v7 and S3 V2, and Kalyway 10.5.2. But I haven't been able to install any of them.

    Specs:
    CPU: Intel Pentium 4
    MOBO: Asus P5G41-M
    CHIPSET: Intel Eaglelake G41
    RAM: 1GB Samsung M3 x 2
    VIDEO: Intel GMA X4500

I have seen a post where someone with very similar specs managed to get OSx86 working.

    With iAtkos I get:
    Code:
    ACPI: System State [S0 S3 S4 S5] (S3)
    Kalyway gets stuck at:
    Code:
Extension "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.aple.kpi components; use only one style.
    I've tried many different flags inlcluding -x, -v, -f, cpus=1, cpus=2, busratio=16, etc.

I don't have any options in my BIOS to change my hard drive to AHCI. I've tried disabling ACPI in the BIOS but that didn't help.

Are there any solutions for me or should I just give up now?
Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place by the way.

    Thanks in advance,

    Flozzaa x

You can try to disable all CPU extra features, ACPI enable, ACPI/Power state S3, HFET enable, disable legacy USB, keyboard/mouse.

With iAtkos S3 v2, try this boot option:

    legacy -x -v cpus=1 busratio=16

For the last two, mix in to try.

Thank you for your reply, however doing as you suggested hasn't helped

You can also try arch=i386 to see if it go through.
I will see if there is a link to some info for G41 chipsets boards.
    Have you checked HCL wiki?
