toshiba a55 trouble with kalyway
Hey, I'm having a tough time with installing osx on my Toshiba A55-S1063. here are the specs http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Satell.../dp/B000KIP5W0. I have however upgraded the ram to 1.5 gbs though.
So far I've tried some others but kalyway 10.5.2 is the only one that actually boots into the installer. However, after I install it, it just constantly reboots. I tried booting with -v and the last line it gets to is something like "BSD root: major 2 minor 1" (not exactly like that). Then it says MACH reboot I think.
So, is there another one I should try besides kalyway or is there specific options I should choose in customize that will best work for my computer? Because so far, kalyway seems to be the only one to almost work.
thanks

Hiya there, try to select another kernel in customize like modbin or speedstep.

I've already tried speedstep and that had the same result. I just tried modbin and this time it only makes it to "mac framework initialized using 2621 buffer headers and 2621 cluster IO buffer headers"

Something that may be relevant to this is there is 2 options when it goes to the bootloader. There is hd (0,1) and it says its a foriegn OS and leopard is on hd (0,2). I dont have any other OS's installed and everytime I try to install leopard I format the hdd using disk utility. I set it to Mac OS extended Journaled and GUID and make 1 partition.

@.o try this:
Once the Install is done, reboot with the DVD in the drive. Press F8 at Darwin Boot Loader and type -s and press enter.
Execute the following commands :
fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0
flag 2
quit
reboot
or try another distro like iatkos or leo4all
