    Default supremeFX II sound (AD1988b chipset) with 10.5.6 update -- WORKING

    hii just recently update to 10.5.6
    and now i have no sound.
    i have checked Sound in system preferences and it says no input or output.

    i was wondering if anyone could help

    my sound card is :

    SupremeFX II

    i tried checking dxdiag in windows and it does not list the chipset just says something about soundmax hd

    sounds like the sound card is not supported in mac, did it work on your previous version, which version are you using, e.g iAtkos, Retail DVD

    hi yes the sound card worked perfectly when i had 10.5.5 installed i was using iDeneb

    just found out my chipset is AD1988B



    im personally not to sure how to check that out, i will list what it says in dxdiag in the sound option

    Name: Speakers(soundmax integrated digital hd audio)
    device id : HDAUDIo\func_01ven_11d4dev_198bsubsys_1
    manufacture id: 1
    product id : 1
    type : wdm
    default device: yes

    i belive it is ac1988 but im not sure.
