I installed ideneb 10.5.5 on a hp pavilion dv5000z and I am stuck in a loop during boot. I get this error first:

Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components: use only one style

then I get

still waiting for root device

I have two ideas.
1. use the ideneb disc, open terminal, and edit com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform
only problem, don't know where that is.
2.reinstall ideneb with one of your suggestions on what drivers and patches I should chose.
What failed
1.safe mode
2.single user boot
3.reinstall of my own knowledge with a mixture of educated guesses.

Anybody know where I can find com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform or what I should pick or another idea? Thanks. Also, ideneb told me the installation was a complete success.
