Spinning beach ball during beginning of install
System:
Q9450
8GB memory
4 sata drives
1 sata optical drive
EVGA 8800GT 512MB
DFI bloodiron P35-T2RL (should be well compatible according to several sites)
- I have a retail DVD of 1.5.6
- I use Boot-132 (the original, which should work with Bloodiron)
- Boots from DVD, but stops at wallpaper with a spinning beach ball cursor (can still move cursor)
I've been trying/searching for over 8 hours today and I just can't get it to work.
Tried different bios settings, boot parameters, different boot loaders, etc, but still that spinning beach ball cursor.
The verbose option didn't help.
I noticed by searching with Google that more people in the past had this issue, but nobody ever came up with a solution.
Now if I just knew where to look... that would already help me a lot!

How did you fix it? I'm having the exact same issue.

I used a different release of Boot-132, page me with your E-mail address and I'll mail it to you.
