[Sony Vaio VGN-TX Series] "Still Waiting for root device" [SOLVED]
Hello everybody!
My laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN-TX Series, specifically the PCG-4F1M, VGN-TX1XP.
Installed IDENEB v1.6, 10.5.8 Lite Edition.
Installation went smoothly: I formatted the internal disc to Mac OS Journaled Case sensitive, customized the installation taking off Firewall support and choosing the available ATA options.
However at reboot I am faced with the "Still Waiting for root device".
Tried all boot options (-s, -x, -rd=disk0s1 etc.), but does not work.
When I boot with the installation DVD, through the available Terminal.app I can access the Volume with the installed system.
Do you have any suggestions?

Update, 30-12-2011:
Problem solved. The laptop was unable to boot with Chameleon 2. Reinstalled everything with Chameleon 1.0.12 bootloader, and so far it works fine. The only thing I have yet to fix is a)resolution is stuck at 1024x768 (and not 1366x768), and b)wifi.

By pure luck, I just found a way to boot.
No matter what I tried so far, resulted in "still waiting for root device".
I know that OSX has been installed on disk0s2, but when inputting the variable rd=disk0s2 from the bootloader did not do any help.
However, today I tried this:
I chose CD Rom as the boot device from Bios.
I booted from the DVD installation disk, and just when the DVD bootloader kicked in asking me if I want it to proceed to load the OSX installation, or press f8 for boot options, I pressed f8, and at that prompt I typed rd=disk0s2.
Surprise - the installed OSX booted.
On my next reboot, if I try to boot directly from the HD, I still get "still waiting for root device". The only way to get into OSX is to boot through the DVD bootloader.
I will research it further and add any notes if something new comes up.
Keep in mind:
- screen resolution is 1027 x 768, streched.
- wifi does not work

Managed to resolve further issues.
1. Screen Resolution: from the post [How to] Intel GMA 900 done right: full QE/CI for leopard - InsanelyMac Forum install only the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext. When rebooting, make sure that on BIOS you "strech" the screen, and on boot option type -f. You should get in OSX in 1024x768, but the 1366x768 should also be available.
2. Wifi: I downloaded the drivers for Intel Pro 2200BG from http://projectcamphor.mercurysquad.com/downloads/. Wifi works, but I can only connect to unsecure networks (no WEP/WPA).
Two issues still remain:
1. Sleep (does not work)
2. Touchpad is being seen as mouse, so I am not able to choose options like tap to click.
