[Solved] iATKOS v7 - Black screen during installation
Hi,
I have a panic black screen during the installation (when the installation is in 80%). I know my hardware is compatible, but I guess the problem is in the customize section.
This is my hardware:
Motherboard Intel DP35DP
CPU - Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40 GHz
NVidia GeForce 8500GT
I am a newbie, clould you help me or give me the name of other installations that I could use. I think there are other aside of iATKOS.
I just need OSX 10.5.4 or later on my PC. Thank you.

Did you try with cpus=1 -v -x?
Check in your BIOS if you have AHCI enabled, and XD bit or execute disabled

Hey,
Thank you for your help. Finally works!!!!!!
My SATA configuration was on IDE, so I changed to AHCI. It was the problem.
Anyway, I've read many instructions on the Internet but I didn't found anything about AHCI. If it works on IDE for most of the systems?
Also, the driver of my video card is not installed because I have very low frame rate on an application. How can I install the driver for a NVidia GeForce 8500GT? Should I install MAC again and play with the customize part or I could just install the driver from somewhere?
Thanks again!!!

Some dvds include the feature to install drivers only. You do this by just selecting the drivers you need, and de-select everything else including the mac osx main installation.

For video try with the driver in my guide, it should work with yours, from the package, select the main package and efi studio, after installation efi studio will pop up, select display, then select your video card, press add device, then press write to apple.boot.com.plist that reboot, now you have full QE/CI support

Hi,
I can't install the right video driver yet. I tryed first with NVInstallerV.41, I could config my screen to 1440x900 but the driver is not working well because with an application I have 5 FPS. When I go to system profiler -> Graphics, it appear 'Graphics by NVidia' in Chipset Model instead of GeForce8500 GT.
The problem is that I think that I have to uninstall any previous driver or modification before trying to installa a newone but I don't know how to unistall it. Could you help me with that please?
I've tryed EFI Studio, but it doesn't have 8500. It has 8600 and 8800.
Where is your guide with the driver?
I've also trying to download 9f23 from here:
NVinstaller.com – Downloads
But the link doesn't work. I downloaded EFI Studio from there. Is that the last version?

SOLVED!!!
I installed iATKOS 7 again and in the costumize section I've just added: NV Enabler in the graphics option.
Now it is working fine. Thank you for your help.
