I really want to get SL on a my netbook compaq 110c but i'm wondering if it is ok with Wifi, and gma 945 ?

I'd be pleased if you can provide some informations about it and some links to make this work

i have hp 110-1030 seems much of hardware is the same.
The WiFi will not work
Graphics seemed no problem

I am back on 10.5.8 as apart from mic and ethernet not working all is good and reliable.

For 10.6.6 i did the following:

Installed from 10.6.0 disk (used 10.5.8 to get it on usb stick and used netbookmaker - there are many guides)
Updated using combo updater straight to 10.6.6 then installed latest netbookinstaller - there are many guides for compaq/hp even if for 210 or 311 seems to be essentially the same

What worked right away:
Graphics at correct resolution
trackpad and keyboard although i think not advanced trackpad features, these may have been fixed with the updates or i may have installed voodoops2 then deleted the voodoops2 kext keeping the trackpad control - i cant recall

What not worked:
Sound - voodooHDA made sound work but it was aweful
WiFi - will never work need to replace or like me get dongle
Sleep - sleepenabler and dsdt modding i was getting somewhere but gave up
Power button advanced features - same as for 10.5.8, changing a line in dsdt made this work

Basically i may have another go but there seemed to be little to make it worth it. Not bothered about app store - have iphone 4 and ipad. Having to use external dongle for wifi - ok could shop around for hp mini 1000 card but had little luck.

So to summary chances are you will have no sleep, no wifi, bad sound.

If i have better luck in a week or two when i will try again - too busy right now i'll report back

Hum, I think i'm not going to try any hackintosh yet, on this one.

I have a laptop with 10.5.8 everything is working exept wifi so i'm using the iphone as a USB Wifi dongle but it is not convenient.

But in spite of the features which actually work i'm getting a kernel panic each hour, so it is kind of lousy

I need to show websites with my netbook to some customers i can't take the risk to have something which is not working, bugging, or not convenient.

Although, I'm waiting for your next report.
