Snag at Apple Introduction
I did an install using Ideneb 10.5.5. I'm running on a Gateway CX2618 Laptop.
Specs are as follows
Processor
entium M 740 1.73 GHz
Chipset : Intel 915GM
Memory : 2048 MB DDR2
Video : Intel GMA900
Audio : AC97
Under the customize of iDeneb I chose the following
Additional Fonts
X11
Audio - AC97
Kernel - 9.4.0
Apps - OSX86 Tools
I booted up in the darwin loader with cpus=1 -v
It gets me to a blue screen however I have no mouse pointer. I hear music and eventually a guy comes on and talks about apple but I have no graphics, just the blue screen.
Any recommendations? Thanks.

Ok so I've gotten a little bit further. I used the iPC 10.5.6 disc instead.
Still using the 9.4.0 Kernel.
AC 97 Sound.
iPC disc had GMA900 already preloaded so that works well.
Also chose Intel ICHx Sata Drivers for the chipset. It now recognizes my DVD drive.
They keyboard and trackpad did not work, PS2 Keyboard under Fixes and Patches fixed that.
I've gotten it to boot up and get to the desktop. I have an Intel 2200G Proset Wireless in the laptop. I'm trying to figure out how to get that to work. Any suggestions? I chose the proper kext in the iPC customize.
When I click the Airport utility it comes up with a restart screen. If I goto network settings under system preferences and click on the Airport button below firewire it closes the network settings and comes up with an error saying program ended and do I want to report it.

From what I've read, your hardware seems to be very similar to that of my HP nc6120 laptop.
If you search for nc6120 in this forum, you'll see my thread detailing the problems I had when installing iPC 10.5.6
Although your wireless is listed as an Intel 2200, try loading the Broadcom kext, as it works flawlessly in mine!
Might be worth a punt!!!
Good luck.
