Slow Instal?
Hi, I'm trying to instal iAtkos 5i on my MS-6701 (Motherboard) with 2.81 GHZ And 1 Gig ram. I have formated both my partitions (because i had a majeur crash) but installing takes very long. I mean realy long i started Monday evening then there today (wednesday) morning there was a power cut so i had to start over, and now it's trying to instal allday but it's just half way there.. anyone know way it takes so long?

hmm, it should only take around 30 - 40 mins to install what processor are you using? AMD / INTEL?

Intel pentium 4 2.81 GHZ for the las two hours or so the install has been stuck on 2/3rd

is it a computer or laptop?? Is it a GATEWAY by any-chance?? If Not What Make, Can You provide a link to the machine Specs....

Well you see i can't post a link because i'm on my psp (=No copy paste) now, since my pc has crashed. but it is a medion desktop. and i know the motherboard should be a microstar ms-6701

hmm can you get a few more specs than that, i think it maybe the BIOS that is causing the problem, or there maybe a chip on the board that may not be supported. Or it could be read / write speeds, or if the HDD is SATA / IDE. Even if you can open the PC There should be the Sys Board Make + Name on there......

well i'm in school now and i've tried to search for more specs but i can't find anything i opened up my pc and like i al ready knew me system(mother)board is a microstar ms-6701 and my hard drive is ATA

do you have any other drives installed e.g. a 2nd HDD? Is The hard disk set to Master?? , Could also be a BIOS issue, ill have a look around and post back

well i did a succesfull install last night. it said i had to reboot and i did. but when i keep the install cd in the driver it just starts the installprogram. and when i take it out, it tries to boot darwin/x86 but restarts over and overagain. anyone knows what to do?
i found an old dxdiag file on externalhdd i will post asap
