I'd be awfully grateful to hear from anyone else who has recently built an SFF Hackintosh using UK suppliers. My budget is about £300 or less, and since I have had an awful time trying to edit .plist files on my dual-boot XP/OSX 10.5.1 Kalyway install, I'd be grateful too if the components were registered and tickable in some or other MacIntel distro. I'm not a bad hacker/programmer on Windows and I'm an experienced Mac user (and at one time a pretty good OS9 hacker), but getting .kext files to take has just proved a nightmare to me, so I'd rather learn from someone else's experience using components which are supported.

I'm trying to build this MacIntel for my girlfriend's mum, who's in her 70s and would be an undemanding user, but I do need an assembly where I can reliably get sound working (due to need for webcam).
