reboot on installation
I've tried a few different installations and i have the recurring problem of my computer rebooting while installing. Kalyway loads the installation files for a few minutes, then says "Starting darwin server" or something and then reboots. After reading that other people have had that problem and suggested using leo4all. I tried this and didn't get any further; in fact it loaded the install files for only a few seconds before reboot.
I've reviewed the BIOS settings and set mine accordingly, but didn't have any luck. I'm running an MSI P6N SLI motherboard and an Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 Conroe 1.86GHz 64-bit processor, 2GB of memory, and a MSI NX7600GS-T2D256E GeForce 7600GS 256MB video card. I have 2 SATA hard drives and 1 SATA DVD-ROM drive. I don't have any IDE devices attached. Are any of these components not compatible? I've seen other people using the motherboard. Are there special settings for these components or something else to try?

Hiya there, here are your options:
1- MOD your BIOS, you can download your BIOS here P6N SLI Platinum (MS-7350) 7350v16, I believe theres ppl here with this mobo, and they are running OSX rite now.
2- And theres Munkys Guide, You'll need retail disc, and read a bit about it, Read about Chamaleon with DSDT, and DSDT Patcher, Good Luck

at boot when the timer starts hit enter, a boot "prompt" should popup. enter -v or -v space -x and if it starts to load be parient, sometimes it will stall for a couple minutes or you may have to try 2 times. Took me awhile. post again

I tried -v -x cpus=1 and -legacy in that order, adding a new switch each time. I was able to get the installation files to load! After several minutes, it throws the error message "failed to load extension org.tgwbd.driver.ACPIPS2Nub" in yellow text, but this didn't stop the load process. the process finally ends on
"Cannot use ATS Persistent Store - switching to old FODB cache code
CODE SIGNING: cs_invalid_page: p=129[lssave] clearing CS_VALID"
I've tried it twice, but since it sounds like it may take a couple tries, i'll give it another go... thanks
