I tried both original and modified ktext version found at http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.p...ic=113288&st=0
what am i adding to the boot disc? are they drivers specific to my machine? all the instructions say to use the CD to boot into the install CD, then add/modify drivers after the install. I'm stuck getting into the install.

I found this:
http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/in...HCL_10.5.2#MSI
It has my Motherboard (MSI P6N SLI) and Torren uses Kalyway 10.5.2 (i have 10.5.1). He said it won't run vanilla and the BIOS has to be downgraded, which i did. I installed Kalyway w/o the Vanilla kernel. Here is a screenshot of where it reboots. It doesn't appear to have an error message:
He mentions the NForce Kernel, but that wasn't included on my disc. Where can i find info on adding this?

Yes, i have windows. I've been reading more about my issue. I tried kalyway 10.5.2 which has an nforce kernel (which is what i need, i can't boot vanilla w/ my MB). Now i'm stuck w/ the dreaded "Still waiting for root device" error message during the INSTALLATION (most people have it on first boot). This has been widely documented, so i have some leads. I tried:
-v -x platform=ACPI (and X86PC)
installing from a USB DVD Drive
removing my SATA devices.
I pretty sure its a problem w/ my SATA controller. Is the problem caused by having an SATA controller, booting to an SATA drive or just having SATA devices connected? My MacOS drive is a Primary Master IDE driver.
