My question is can I run Software update and install the following updates with no problem on my hackintosh?

ATI Radeon hd 2600 xt firmware update - I do not have a 2600 I have a 3650

also the security update.

Just wanted to check before I possibly break my work horse.

Yes, it is very easy to break a running OSX86 by using apple update.
It also depends on what your system setup/configuration to guarantee a successful update. It's recommended that you should backup all kexts and important files before doing so. It's even better to image the volume first.
