"You need to restart your computer" after upgrade to 10.5.7
A few months ago, I successfully installed osx86 with 10.5.5 via iAtkos
I'm an iPhone developer, and in order to get ready for OS 3.0, I had to upgrade OSX to 10.5.7
Everything works except for when I try installing new applications.
For some reason, when I start an installation, I get the scary "You need to restart your computer" error
Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks in advance!
Somewhere back I talked about little Red Riding Hood
Somewhere is post a ways back a guy asked if he could upgrade a hackintosh on apples site and I wrote asking him if he had ever heard the story of Little Red Riding Hood, and who was really sleeping in the bed.
I am going to guess the upgrade was from the Apple site? I am also going to guess you have not followed the AppleDecrypt changes to the Do Not Copy Mac OSX file structure and duties of those files? When preparing for the update several sites - like pcwiz - etc have advised of things needed to keep the OS sane when it is upgraded - HOWEVER; there is in reality a bit more to it.
I think you are finding it out now the hard way. You'll never find the script - but trust me - it is in there to lock down the OS and the AppleDecrypt function will make soon the unauthorized MAC OS's come to a slow painful halt when users wander into Grandma's house for an upgrade.
Think about it.
