Won't boot from Kalyway to install. NOOB needs help

The problem is, when i turn on the computer, press F8 and choose to boot from the DVD-RW drive it simply opens windows as usual.

My hardware is almost identical to that used in the lifehacker guide. I've installed windows 7 on half of the hardrive, leaving the other half unallocated (going to format on install).

I've tweaked the bios so all good there.

I don't know if this is relevant but I burnt the contents of the ISO file onto the dvd, rather than the ISO file itself (thats right isnt it?)?

Any help would really be appreciated.

If you're telling it to boot off the DVD and it attempts and then goes to Windows, then I'd say you should have burnt the ISO to the disk, not the contents or whatever you did.

Burn it again at x4 and try it again and see how that goes.
