Unlocking an iPhone 3G
Ok, so I'll admit up front that my main interest in installing OSX (at this time) is to unlock my iPhone 3G by using Pwnage Tool.
Having said that I do anticipate a long term relationship with the Mac OS lol.
But right now I'm just trying to get the Kalway 10.5.2 installed. I get hung on "waiting for root device" and see from the sticky that it is probably a chipset issue.
Having gone thru the wiki a bit it says that 10.5.2 needs to be updated to 10.5.3 for this board (if I understood correctly) but if I can't install it first ......
My gear:
ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 Allendale 2.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80557E4400
SAPPHIRE 100172L Radeon X1550 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ
SATA Lite-On DVDRW drive LH-20A1L
Main: 20GB IDE
Seagate 500GB SATA
Now barring any relatively straighforward solutions is this an option:?

Get IPC OSX 10.5.6 or iDeneb 1.4
Try those distro.
I'm not so sure about the nforce 650i chipset you have there.
Make sure SATA mode in bios is set to AHCI
