Stuck at blue screen on boot After installation?

Well I finally managed to get the install of Leopard(I can't remember if it was Kalyway 5.4 or jas 5.4) but after installation, it boots up, gets past the apple logo and then goes to a blank blue screen with no cursor or anything and just does nothing. I've tried booting with -x -y and -v but it still has the same effect. Can anyone help?
System specs:
Intel Pentium M Processor 740 (1.73GHz/2MB Cache/400MHz FSB*)
512MB of RAM
Intel integrated Media Accelerator 900 graphics card
80gb HD

Actually I'm quite confused, It was working fine last night then, when I turned it off and went to bed, I woke up in the morning, turned it back on and the problem was back, I have no idea why.

Odd, for me, on the third boot up, is when it happens? After I install, it boots up fine, after I restart, it boots up fine, then when I say I want to restart it says it will update boot caches and on this reboot, it gets stuck at the blue screen?
Can anyone help?

are you updating / adding programs then rebooting and getting this problem? reason i ask, i got this a lot when patching my audio or installing Norton Anti-Virus

No, I'm not updating or anything. Another thing, for some reason it boots successfully sometimes, and not others, like sometimes I'll have to try a few kernals and sometimes I won't need to touch anything, and sometimes it just plain won't work(I mean it boots but gets stuck).

when you next boot check to see what the system has setup for the display driver in the system panel. and please post.

Sorry, but How do I find this?

go into system pref's and click on display. It should tell you what device it is using. Chances are if it says default it hasn't installed your display driver correctly.
