Still waiting for root device?
EDIT: NEW PROBLEM! See first post on second page!
Hey guys. I've been using this method to install Leopard on my PC. LINK.
I'm using a retail Leopard DVD by the way.
My PC specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8GHz E7400
Gigabyte EP45-UD3R Motherboard
3GB DDR2 G.Skill RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8500GT
One 250gb IDE Formatted Hard Drive with about a 230GB blank partition on it (I used my XP disk first to delete all the data then made a partition out of the unpartitioned space) - Currently set to Slave
IDE DVD Drive - Currently set to Master
When I load the BootCD, I go through the steps where you put in the Leopard DVD in and press enter. I hit F8 and type -v and hit enter. I comes up with all these lines of text and whatnot and goes to a different screen with more text and eventually stops and after awhile says: Still waiting for root device. I have no idea what to do because I've tried so many different things.
EDIT: I have also tried many variations with the jumpers but to the same outcome.
Could someone PLEASE give me a detailed guide on what to do or why it's saying this?
