iATKOS v7 should work for you..
I think theres a thread for this system here, please search before posting or check the HCL.
I got kernel panic with iAtkos v7 on the Dell XPS M1530 with default install on 1st restart.
Please help. What am I missing?
Much obliged,

Got through with the iAtkos v7 install using Chameleon 1 instead of version 2 on XPS M1530. However, the Wifi, Ethernet, Keyboard and Trackpad are not working. Also, the video resolution is limited to 1024X768 only.
Please help.
Much obliged,

I have a Dell XPS m1530 Laptop and also want to know if I can run Leopard on it as well!
I arrived here from google, because I am searching for everything I need before I try it.
If a whole bunch of devices end up unusable, then I might be stuck buying a mac, and I can't afford one right now.
yes you can
i have Dell XPS 1530 and i am running MAC OSX 10.5.8 on it along with Ubuntu , Windows XP, Vista and Ubuntu.
i am having one small problem which is the wireless card Intel 4965AGN can not work
the best bet it to visit http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/in...p/HCL#Wireless
to get one that works
Good Luck
Heres the setting I used to get about everything working.
I search a lot for those settings so I tough I post them here.
I used iAtkos V7

I bough a USB wireless device (Dlink DWL-G122) to get the internet working cause my internal wireless won't work. I didn't try the sound yet and the shutdown/restart don't work as you may already know.
Please share your config if you find other driver working. Thanks.
thx for sharing, surely will help other members ;D
This setup worked great for me on my Dell XPS M1530 as well. Only question now is how can we fix the sleep/shutdown problem? When I try to sleep or shutdown it just hangs...and hangs. It would obviously be nice to be able to sleep or shutdown without having to hard shutdown.
