problem getting DWA-547 (D-Link 650) wireless working
Motherboard: Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR
CPU: Intel Q9400
RAM: 4GB DDR2-800
Graphics: Nvidia 9500 512MB
Wireless: D-Link 650 (DWA-547)
i've successfully installed iATKOS v7 and everything is working, except for the wireless card. I've tried the Apple IO80211Family.kext from 10.5.7, and an earlier version from 10.4.8. I've also tried AirportAtheros.kext from Atheros.pkg. None of them will even recognise that the card exists.
I have also installed all the kexts from the UD3LR_Pack.zip file i found from some post on insanelymac.
lspci shows the card as:
05:00.0 Network controller : Atheros Communications Inc. Unknown device [168c:0029] (rev 01)
the DWA-547 is inserted into the first PCI slot in the system.
System Profiler says "This computer does not appear to have any PCI cards installed" for "Hardware/PCI Cards", and "No Information found" for "Network/Airport Card".
is this a problem with the Atheros driver or the Airport driver? or is it a problem with the PCI code?
I've run out of ideas on things to try...anyone have any ideas on how I can get this working? I'm happy to reinstall if necessary.
btw, i've also tried iDeneb v1.5.1 with exactly the same result. Ditto after I upgraded iDeneb to 10.5.8 with the combo upgrade package.
