Please Help to Install OS X

I am currently trying to install iDeneb, or any version for that matter on my laptop. :woz:

Specs:
HP Pavillion dv6609wm
AMD Athlon X2 64-bit
160Gb HD
Broadcom WIFI
2.5 Gb Mem

When I boot into the setup and go to "Disk Utility", my Hard Drive isn't found, only the installing Disc is found. I have partiton'd my HD correctly (as I have it running on my Desktop already so I know how to do that). It just seems that OS X cannot find my HD.

Please Help with anything, and also, I have also checked in BIOS for the other settings to try, and there is nothing there.

Again, I ask kindly for some help.

I just want to be sure I do this correctly, I enter that command after I hit the "F8" during Boot, or if that's not the place, where would I do that.

Also if it can be done in more than 1 place, please let me know, I appreciate any help! :)

Yeah wait for darwin, the press F8 and type rd=xxxx

I tried that, rd=disk0sY. Where Y equaled a number from 0 to 3 and nothing. It just kept hanging/errored at the loading screen. Where error means the circle with the line through it, and once even a kernel panic. I also tried mach_kernel. But still, it would not find my HD.

If you have anything else to try, please suggest, I am open to anything.
