OS X On Eee PC 1000he

Hi guys and girls,

I'm in the process of installing OS X on my Eee PC 1000he. I've gone ahead and ripped it apart to install an Apple PCI-E wireless card. It was a bit of a mission but it worked a treat.

Anyway, I'm following this guide to install OS X from an OS X install DVD however when booting the install DVD it stalls at the grey apple. It does absolutely nothing from there, no loading, no reading of the install disk.

I was wondering if anyone has any know how on getting the install disk to boot correctly. The Boot-123 bootloader is obviously failing however I cannot find an alternative.

I'm not particularly wanting to go through iDeneb because the upgrade path isn't too nice looking, if you catch my drift. I want to be able to use OS X's default upgrade routines.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I would be interested to see how this plays out - the 1000HE is the only netbook out that I would buy ATM, and I would love to have it Hackintoshed. I will be watching - if anyone has more information, please do not withhold!

Hello,

enter -v into the boot options. That option will give you diagnostic messages. See where the boot hangs and post the last message and I'll try to help.

Have you had any further luck installing OSX on the 100HE i have recently purchased one and have no idea where to start.
