nVIDIA GeForce 6200 driver dual monitor
Hi, I got the iAtkos 5i 10.5.5 installed on my pc. Everything is working great except for my video card. I have a GeForce 6200 by nVIDIA with 2 monitor outputs. My Windows XP works fine with the dual monitor. I went to the nVIDIA website and they don't have a Mac OS X driver. Can someone let me know where I can get the driver for this video card to work on my new system?
Thanks in advance!
Dual monitor configurations, nvidia 6600gt...
I too have been having problems with a dual monitor on one graphics card configuration. I use the nVidia 6600gt. It's a nice card with 256 of DDR1 ram. I know it's not the best/fastest/greatest. But it's what I have and am pretty happy with it. I only get one of my flat screens to work. At start up it does do video mirroring at least for the beginning apple logo gray screen but when aqua loads it shuts off one screen for the other and I simply can't configure it at all. When I try to play with the settings in the "System Preferences..." Displays control panel it's like it's not even there.
I'm really hoping I don't have to do flips in terminal because I'm horrible at using contextual commands and it's very cryptic. I'm also dyslexic so that doesn't help much. (Thank gawd for spell check) Kinda defeats the purpose of having a GUI if I have to do everything in a DOS like window. I could have stayed in DOS for that.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on this subject at large. I know there are some things that help that use NVInject and some other graphics drivers. But alas after messing up a few installations and following instructions to the letter I have gotten no where on getting 2 monitors to work at the same time. Even if I had video mirroring, that would be something as this is a dual boot machine i.e. XP and iDeneb on the same drive.
I have searched around many places, can anyone help to make things easier or understandable or help with providing a solution to the dual screen setup problem many including myself seem to have? OH PLEASE!
