First of all I'd like to say what a great community this is secondly I'd like to ask for some assistance with my Leopard installation process. I'm a bit of a 'newbie' when it comes to installing OSX on a PC. I stumbled upon this a couple of days ago even though I had success installing OSX on a Virtual PC I'm having a great deal of problems when It comes to installing the OSX on the PC itself.
Firstly I'd like to mention that I want to dual boot (Windows 7 and MAC OSX) I've managed to install the MAC OSX using my retail disc of the operating system on my Virtual PC by following this tutorial. However this doesn't really cut it for me it just doesn't feel right and feels sluggish - if you know what I mean. Now I was looking into dual booting OSX and Windows 7 by following this tutorial. So far I managed to do everything up to installing the OS itself. I'm having a lot of trouble with it to be exact. I have tried my retail copy I've also tried iPC OSX86 10.5.6 Universal PPF5 Final (like in the tutorial) and iATKOS v7 Mac OSX86. The problem is that the discs will boot just fine now the problem is with the rebooting. Every time I enter the menu where it says 'Press F8 for advanced boot options' or something like that and if I enter for example -v and press Enter it will just reboot the same goes if I don't press F8 and just press Enter it will just reboot. It also reboots if I press ESC or don't press anything the gray Apple Logo flashes for few seconds and then it reboots. I've been trying to figure this out for past couple of days, I also tried booting the discs with this booter still didn't work.
I have watched and read numerous tutorials - none of them helped. I tried playing around with my BIOS settings but the thing is I don't have many options in my BIOS as apposed to the ones people use in their tutorials. I've read that you need to upgrade your BIOS to a newer version, however I've searched everywhere and there is no update for my BIOS as I'm running HP. Any help would be appreciated greatly.
I am currently running a HP Pavilion with Intel Core i5 with NVIDIA GeForce GT 320 which is 64-bit operating system.
