Hey I am trying to update from 10.5.5 to 10.5.8 but everytime I try to install it ... It stops in the middle and says to hold the power button... I have read some forum they said it something with the kernel... If someone can direct me towards the right direction or even give me a quick tut... I will highly appreciate it thanks
How are you trying to update? are you using a distro? which one? did you check f41qu3s guide to install to 10.5.6?
No I have not... and I am trying to update thru Mac Software update

Now... what do you have? Ideneb, iPc, Leo4all, others, did you found the thread for 10.5.6?
Okay let me start from the beginning because the tutorial threw me off lol.. I downloaded an ISO... called iATKOS 5i... I customized installed it and checked off everything... Now I want to update to 10.5.8 from the mac software update...
Do I need to go thru 10.5.6 in order to goto 10.5.8? Or can I just jump
Wait a sec, cuz with iatkos you can install like a real mac using soft update, now.. do you have a patched kernel?
I believe I don't thats why I am always getting that error message about the kernel... If you can give me a download link or something It'll be highly appreciated
