iDeneb 5.5.4 Audio driver problem
I have the following hardware:
Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L (Intel G31 Core2 Socket 775 1333 MHz Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 2.53 GHz processor
Seagate ST3250410AS 250GB 7200RPM hard drive
Crucial DDR2 800 2GB
ASUS GeForce 7200 GS 256MB graphics card
SOny NEC Optiarc AD-7200-0B 20X DVD Burner
Pioneer CD/DVD reader
I've been running Kayway 10.5.1, but cannot upgrade to the latest Kalaway release without losing Time Machine and System Profiler. I decided to try iDeneb 10.5.4, but on an extra 80 gig drive to see how it installs and runs.
Although it loads OK, there is no audio, even though, in the set-up I checked ALC-888 as the audio driver.
Does anybody have any clue as to what I've missed. I'm downloading iDeneb 10.5.5 right now to see if there is any improvement.
iDeneb seems to be really great in other respects, because System Profiler shows that the OS recognizes the memory speed (800 MHz) and that the CPU has 2 cores.
