iATKOS v7 successful boot, minor issues

I began as a SL install using Hazard 10.6.2 distro but couldn't get that one going, see http://www.hackint0sh.org/f213/185731.htm for original thread.

I'm actually starting this thread from Safari on my iATKOS install. Successfully loaded kext for network, haven't gotten audio working yet.

Would love a little help with my mouse issue...it's jerky and reversed, seems to cause everything to go jumpy and slow. Used Voodoo PS/2 option at install and thought it may have been the problem, then moved to Apple PS/2 option but that didn't fix it either.

I've seen some threads that the authors thought it may have been a NVenabler issue, anyone had any experience with this?

See previous thread noted above for background on install. I may just start a clean install again with very minimal kext support now that I know I can get network going and use kext helper to load the ones I've downloaded.

Still trying to find some kind of hardware program (mac version of CPU-Z?) to see what my hardware is being recognized by?

Okay, so I re-installed as I had a quirky mouse issue. Found a thread somewhere about it being related to NVenabler included in the iATKOS package. (uhh, okay). Anyways, here's what I did:

zeroed out the drive, re-intalled iATKOS v7 with following options:

Chameleon V2
/Extra
AppleDecrypt
DSDT
Disabler
Corevidia (this gave me basic graphics, see below)
VIA SATA/IDE
9.5.0 Kernel
Voodoo PS/2 (I'm using PS/2 keyboard, optic mouse)

With these basics loaded (no audio or network) I was getting ACPI kernel panic during boot, so I went back into installation process and added the x86 ACPI driver. What a great option this is, ONLY select the option you want to add and continue install. It works.

Rebooted, added -v -x flag and it went straight to desktop! :)

I then used kexthelper to load ethernet driver I found from OSX86 database for a 10.5.4 HCL install. going to re-boot and see if I can get audio kext from same page to work so I can have sound. after that, I have to locate a suitable nvidia driver for my EVGA 8800 GTS. Corevidia option from install disc got me to boot, but I show the following for Graphics under system profiler:

Okay folks, could really use some help here as I'm stuck on the Nvidia enabler issue.

I've attempted 4-5 different kexts, any that enable my video cause my mouse to go bonkers (jumpy and backwards at same time) and render the OS difficult to work with. System pref's become unloadable.

I tried a few different fixes but ended up screwing up and rendering my install dead, currently re-installing OSX which takes about an hour for some reason.

I know I can get OSX working again, through more reading it appears that my audio is tied into the JMicron SATA2 controller which I'll make some attempts to fix.

I could really use some advice on this mouse issue, Please!!

Okay update: *I will compose some sort of guide when I get this done, every task is different*

I managed to get everything but audio working so far. Loaded iATKOS v7 same as before but added a tweak:

I added nvinjector and nvkush at install instead of CoreVidia, plus ApplePS/2 kext at install.

right away started having problems with the mouse.

I went into System/Library/Extensions and deleted the ApplePS2 and nvinjector kexts, then repaired permissions and rebooted

Then rebooted install disc and added VoodooPS2 option only. Reboot to OSX again.

only had 1024x768 resolution available. did the following to change it:

Q: How to change display resolution?
A: 1) temporarily: boot with this kernel parameter (press F8)
"Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32"
2) permanent: edit the file /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist, add
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1280x1024x32</string>
after
<string></string>

That gave me the resolution i wanted, temporary fix.

So, I don't have Qwartz Extreme enabled, now going to concentrate on Audio.
