Evga 790i
Hey everyone i finally got the mac osx 10.5.2 kalyway on my 790i board :). This took my almost a mounth to figure out and in the end it took another computer to help me get it to work.
Today i had to fix the boot record on my dad business computer that has a 680i striker board on it. well i use a kalyway dvd cd and it worked! i finally got a os system on a nvidia chip set( accomplishment to me.
So i had to take my dad's computer back to the shop and when i got home i wonder if i could get the already install os to boot up with my 790i computer and it did. i got the onboard audio to work and my 8800gt card to work everything seems to be working rather well except.
I want to updated or get a distor to were i can be up to date with a 10.5.6 and i need to some how to save the start up so that i can use with another copy of osx so i can get updated.
I have a mac book pro late 2008 uni body and so that helps me to use some soft ware to create a custom boot up efi file.
All in all i want to turn my rather high end gaming pc into a mac when im not gaming and be able to get updated and be able to reinstall with out problems and use time machine. if anyone can help that would be great! email me at snipersoldier2003@sbcglobal.net on how to do the process
P.s for people trying to get the os to work on the 790i board use the usb boot up and use the osx86 tool to reset everything and that will give you almost a fresh install of the operation system.

Hey there sniper, did you check the sticky? well with kalyway you will need kalyway combo update for 10.5.3, then you can try the sticky to update to 10.5.6/10.5.7, try and report your progress back

well see the only problem i have is if i mess up i got to start all over again and i want to be able to save the "efi bios i have that works" so that if i mess up the update i can start over again with having to go to my dad business computer (my old gaming rig) to start over again.
O, ya i did try looking for the sticky but i found only people having problems with the update not a step by step one if you can give me a link that would be great! O, also time machine isn't working and i would like to have a version of the hackintosh like iATKOS 10.5.5 or IPC 10.5.6 straight from the dic and not having to update. i just need the current efi file so that i can use to boot up with a different version of hackintosh. I also wonder is there a distribution disc that allows straight updates from the mac people them self?
i hope that im making some what some sense on how im writing this because in my brian it kinda all scrambled around trying to put this into words.
