Which distribution should I peek?

Hello all, I have some questions and I will be glad to get a few answers.

First of all this is my rig:

Gigabyte Geforce 7300GS

Kingston 512X2 533MHz

I looked at the HCL and I saw that my hardware is fit to the 10.5.0 version,
and I want to know which distribution I should use to work fine with my hardware?

I could update the version letter? (its necessary to update?)
