Compaq A940NR, which version?

Hello Everyone, as you can tell I am new here.

I have a Compaq A940NR laptop that I would like to install OS X on. I have quite a bit of experience installing it, but I was wondering if anyone knows one that works well with this laptop. I have tried iDeneb on this laptop already, but the trackpad was about useless. Not sure about that issue so I gave up for a little while and figured I would ask here.

Hardware:

Intel Pentium D 1.86GHz
3GB RAM
Intel 965 Chipset
Intel X3100 Video (This worked in iDeneb)
Conexant HD Audio (This worked in iDeneb)
Atheros AR5007
Realtek 8139C (this worked in iDeneb)
Alps TrackPad (This did NOT work in iDeneb.)


All of the USB ports work, etc. I didn't get to check much more since I needed to get this system back up and running an OS.

Any pointers?

So how will he get his Alps Trackpad to work, maybe its not on in the bios.
I would like to know.
