Issues/Questions - OSX86 FAQ (README!!!)
After reading the forums i'd thought id make a thread on common issues and answers to common questions. As i read through the forum, people report the same errors and ask the same questions as searching is too hard due to the sheer amount of threads here. If you find an error here or even have something to add please reply and i'll add/edit it asap.
Questions
Is my PC/Laptop compatible with OSX86?
The first thing to do is check the Hardware Compatibility List's (HCL), this List shows machines known to work with OSX86 and which distro was used. This is handy if you are planning to make a custom hackintosh pc.
My PC/Laptop wasn't on the HCL, What now ?
Don't worry. There may be a chance that it works but nobody has tried it yet. Try most of the distros if you can and see which ones work. If you computer does work with OSX86 and isn't listed on the HCL don't forget to add it to help others in the future :)
(Distro - a version of a OSX86 CD like Kalyway, iDeneb, Leo4all etc)
Where can i download these Installation Discs ?
Hackint0sh does not allows links to these Files either by PM or pubicly. Search the usual torrents sites ;)
Leopard in Vmware?
Here you can find a link to a pre-build vmware disk to download or search "~pcwiz's VMware Leopard Image" in google

Boot into your new installation but hit F8 during the prompt and then type -s to enter the single user mode.
Then type the following:
(Press enter at the end of each line)
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
passwd root
touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
reboot

How can i set up Dual booting Windows Vista & Leopard (using EasyBCD)
Simple instructions with pictures
(iAtkos v5i Unconfimed Method - download the EasyBCD 2.0 beta and add the EFI option if you checked PC Efi V9 during installation)
I get "Boot1:Error"
Follow the instructions and advice found in this thread or just download the EasyBCD 2.0 beta and add the EFI option.
I get stuck at Still waiting for root device, how come?
This usually means incompatibility with your chipset. Try booting using a USB DVD drive if the error occours when attemping to boot the installation CD.
Misc
I Hope to add more solutions so if you have a solution for a issue just leave a reply and i'll add it in as soon as possible.
Also, this thread is for people to add solutions to issues and not for asking questions. Sorry if i didnt make that clear :o
