Common Issues/Questions - OSX86 FAQ

Hi I am new to OSX86 and I have been trying for 2 weeks now to install Leopard on my external HD to boot on my pc with no joy. I am using iDeneb.v1.4.Mac.OSX.Leopard.10.5.6.MAC-OSx86 install but I have tred others.
The install goes great (I dont customise the install) but when I try to boot from usb nothing is found.
I have tried unpluging all the internal drives and still nothing??
Any help or advice would be great.

My PC is a Packard Bell imedia9550
Core 2 duo 6300 1.86GHz
2GB ram
Gforce 7600 LE
(not the best I now but from what I have read this spec should work and its just a spare base unit I have)

This is not the right place to post this... did you installed, what happen when you try to boot? any error?

Probably wont work for all, but I did this before I found this thread.

I gave up after the nth attempt and went to bed.
Got up a few hrs later, changed the hardware config...changed RAM and removed 2nd HDD. and it re booted all the way through without hanging at this import data from another Mac loop

I have error device lock when try on it..Any idea? Thanks

I succesfully installed ideneb v1.4 [OSx 10.5.6] on my PC. I cannnot get the audio i tried ALC 883 and also Trunga patched both not working. After installing ALC 883 with OSx86 tool i am not able to boot .

1. How to get audio for Intel DG35EC motherboard
2. Enable QE [Graphics Card:XFX Geforce 9400GT 512MB DDR2]
3. Will iDeneb work with SATA set to IDE instead of AHCI [i want XP to work]

3- Whats wrong with your XP? You want it to work using AHCI as well?

I've installed iDeneb 10.5.5 on my pc and when i get to the migrate Mac screen, it goes back to the keyboard screen,can anyone help?

Hi, I used iAtkos 5i installation

*UPDATE* I Fixed my Keyboard & Mouse, wrong installation.. mistake choosing EFI bootloader & Chameleon at the same time... if I chose only 1 of them by any installation they do work, Ofcourse choosing x86 ACPI ;)

Well here is my tiny issue.. after finished installing
*Keyboard & Mouse* are not recognized

I have tried 2 methods after installing (I boot back with the DVD)
And only selected "x86 APCI" - after done (nothing, still the same issue of keyboard & mouse)
Then went again booted with DVD, and chose this time only "PS/2" - after done... still the same issue of them not recognized

The only way I get Keyboard & Mouse is through USB... they are lent from a friend, I can't keep them... I prefer obviously my onboard Keyboard & Mouse (touchpad) working.

Any help for this?? THANX

Hey all, been reading through this and some other boards for the last week now. Trying to get hack installed using iPC 10.5.6. System runs throught he install fine but after install I can not boot with ot without switches (-x -f -s etc) system will only restart.

I am using an HP m7170n. My HDD is SATA and I was using a IDE dvdrw and have swapped to a SATA DVDRW. My bios has no setting for AHCI only "combined mode" or "enhanced mode".

My system specs are as follows:

HP m7170n
Asus P5LP-LE Intel 945P ICH7
PentiumD 830 (S) DC 3.0 GHz
ATI Radeon X300SE

Any pointers as to where I should look from here??
