Box Set Install to Toshiba NB205?

I don't own a Mac and won't download an illegal OS image, but have fewer compunctions about installing a retail copy of Snow Leopard on my own hardware.

How does one use the non-upgrade Snow Leopard install DVD with the Toshiba NB205? I've got an external USB DVD drive, but the install instructions I've encountered so far seem to rely on hacked images that must be downloaded.

Am I correct in thinking that the Box Set is where I need to begin? It's pricey, but if I can get an OSX Netbook for less than $400, that's still not a bad deal, IMO. I'm assuming that the Box Set allows for a clean install in the absence of an existing OSX install.

Pointers/Advice appreciated. I've installed and used Ubuntu on a variety of platforms for a long time, but have never attempted anything with OSX.

It is a hackintosh, if you try to put osx on non apple pc. Depends on hardware compatibility , it can be tweak to minimum, but still you need few unofficial stuff..:)
To minimized guilt to apple :D, buy Retail OSX dvd for $29, and then google for osx notebook/netbook installer, iboot ,boot 132 , or the popular empireEFI bootloader.( Because the retail dvd is design to not boot on non apple pc.)
Then, follow some Retail install tutorial.

Thanks, swordsman. I like the less expensive purchase better anyway! I'll get that and see how it goes. Looks like the only HW change I'll be forced into is the WiFi card, and that is simple enough.
