I still have yet to get my 2 machines with Boot-132 installation to show the correct model identifier in about this mac or show the right machine icon in finder.
I boot up with your ISO and when the prompt appears, I switch discs with the Leo OS X 10.5.6
after, I type Enter and then Enter once again (when they ask me to type [80] or [81]).
then, I let the timer go, and what I see is the screen gray and an Apple logo in the middle. Nothing else happens, not even in a million of years
Hi, I'm totally new to all this, so any help will be appreciated.
I do have a Mac OS X 10.5.6 retail DVD - can I use it to install 10.5.6 on VMWare virtual machine on Windows host?
If yes, can you please point me to any tutorials or discussions?
Thanks!
Starting retail version of the system sounds fantastic... no only covers the legal aspect of not having to distribute a "demo" version of Leo, but lightens up what users need to download in order to be able to install Leo on their x86... I am currently trying to put Leo on my AppleTV using iDeneb1.4 but has not been fun or successful... still trying though. Can Leo installs on AppleTV be performed using this boot loader and retail Leo DVD? My guess would be no, since AppleTV needs to be modified when trying install via iDeneb, and it's because of AppleTV itself using a different way to start in OS X...
By the way where is the extension dsmos that needs to be added to the ISO and how can one add it to the ISO? Isn't the ISO an image file that can't be modified?
thx!
Did you read munkys guide? you can try using slinger in the distribution forum, theres a link with an ISO with some kexts, and yes you can modify the ISO adding your own kexts, once again read munkys guide.
No idea about AppleTV thingy, google it @_@
HI
I'm trying to install Leopard to my HP Mini 1110NR from a legal disk using BOOT-132 via these instructions: New modified BOOT-132 allows you to boot retail DVDs - InsanelyMac Forum and the ISO entitled BOOT-DFE-146-BUM. I get as far as the gray screen with the apple logo, but it locks up there. Any suggestions? I upgraded the RAM to 2G and I've been able to install OS X 10.5.5 successfully via iDeneb 1.3, using a 16G SD card as the boot drive (the internal SSD is 8G, too small for iDeneb). It freezes constantly, though, including every time it comes out of sleep, and I'm hoping the BOOT-132 install will be more stable. Any suggestions or thoughts on this?
Thanks!

hi Metzen, have u solved this problem allready ?
I have the same mobo and cpu !!
I can boot Grub-dfe.iso burned cd, switch discs to retail leo and choose f8 add -v -x options. It hangs at a screen that has 2 pics on it. One shows removing a panel to change the batteries and other shows panel installed. It appears like a bottom of a mouse. My mouse / Touch Pad doesnt work when it show a mouse pointer. It hangs in the same spot if I do not add the -v or -x. I am suspecting that I do not have a Mouse/Track pad driver that supports my track pad.
