[Bootloader] New modified BOOT-132 allows you to boot retail DVDs

Same problem.
My DVD drive is SATA, but per your suggestion I hooked up an IDE DVD drive.
Problem was not resolved.

If I type '80' it recognizes my HDD, and obviously since it is a blank drive (Formatted Guid) if I press enter I get the error message
System config file '/com.apple.boot.S/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found

I am using a legit retail Leopard 10.5.1 disk
If I type '?' and press enter nothing happens
both -v and -f give the error message
'escape' brings me back to the screen with options of entering two-digit hex device

Im at a loss, but Im a noob too so...

Try typing [90], that should recognize your CD/DVD drive and continue booting the Retail DVD.

And, of course, make sure the read light on your drive, after you pop in the disc, stop's blinking before trying this.

Tried both SATA and IDE drives

If that didn't work then it is something with the loader itself that isn't working and there is nothing you can do at that point. Also that copy of the loader doesn't contain a decrypt kext so the dvd will not load.

I will make another thread with the grub-dfe.iso that I can guarantee will boot and load the Retail DVD.

My says typical boot devices are 80 (first HD), 81 (Second HD) Enter two-digit hexadecimal boot device [9F] when i press 80 i get hd (0,1) leopard when i press enter i get this System config file ' /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plit' not found.

If i press 9f it says to press any key to start up on cd room or press f8 to start opition. when it starts up Loading Darwin/x86 gives me EBIOS read error: Error 0x32 Block 16432736 sectors 64.

e2200 2.2ghz core 2 Duo
Maxtor 300gb sata/150
dual ch ddr2 2gb ram
lit-on drive IDE

combo gigabyte ep35 ds3 q9300 geforce 8800 gt and sata dvd driveand sata harddrive work
you need to set sata to ahci for the install

Has anyone made a boot loader for Asus p5k deluxe I need the 3 16 Ghz slots for video capture RAID and Video display. I tried the Kalyway 10.5.1 and couldnt get it to install. Also I keep seeing these 10.4XXX.dmg retail installs. Are these on the retail DVDs?
or are they downloads?

Thats tiger man XD, look for 10.5.xx it have to be a double layer DVD around 7.00gb :D it gonna be retail one, there some guides for your mobo tho, maybe you try to with a distro 1st, then try retail :P

update to 10.5.5 works to 10.5.6(beta) doesnt work because of some files you need an patched bios to update (culd get it in irc by mobdin)
