Post Installation: Loading Screen Frozen
I get through the install with no problem - written to a freshly formatted Mac (journaled) partition. -v (verbose) mode shows "waiting for root device" as the last command sometime and then completely different hangs at other times.
I tried Kalyway 10.5.2 to no avail and am now attempting the Leo4allv4.1 release for AMD's.
Im using a HP dv6000 which I know has some reported problems but its so close.. my specs are:
AMD Turion 64, dual core processor
2 GB DDR2 memory
15.4″ WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)
256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7200
160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW with Double Layer Support
1.3 Megapixel Webcam with mic built into screen
Altec Lansing speakers built in
3 USB ports, ExpressCard/54 Slot, Video Out, Integrated Consumer IR, 1 RJ-11, 1 RJ-45 - USB 2.0
If anyone has any info on a different kernel or kexts I could use during install so that I dont get a system hang ppleeasee give me a shout..
Im assuming this is a chipset problem.. is there a way to add an nForce compatible kext to the partition I installed macOSx on so that it will boot using this?
