Default Please Help! (Your Two Favorite Words :P) iAtkosv7

Ok so before we start, I have read the stickies, searched google, and read plenty of SIMILAR issues but none that are spot on (obviously, they rarely are) bare with me here because, while I can figure most things out on the computer, I am not nearly as good as most of you, anyway, here we go.

I have a Gateway NV5302u Laptop: (basic specs then hardware list)
    320 GB SATA HDD
    4 GB RAM
    ATI HD 3200 Graphics
Dual Boot with Windows 7 Home Premium

I went into the hardware list app that's on the iAtkos v7 disk and here is the list of everything it found:

    AMD RS780 PCIE port 0
Broadcom Corporation NetLink BCM5784M Gigabit Ethernet PCIe
    AMD PCIe port 2
Atheros Communication Inc. AR928X Wireless Adapter PCI-Express
    AMD PCIe Port 3
ATI Tech SB700/SB800 USB OCHI0 Controller (listed twice)
ATI Tech SB700 USB OCHI1 Controller (listed twice)
ATI SB700/SB800 USB EHCI Controller (listed twice)
ATI SB700/SB800 SATA Controller AHCi mode
    ATI SBx00 SMBus controller
    ATI SB700/SB800 LPC host controller
ATI SBx00 PCI to PCI bridge
    ATI SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA)
ATI RS780M/RS780MN Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
    ATI RS780 Azalia Controller
    AMD Mobile K10 Link Control
    AMD Mobile K10 Miscellaneous Control
    AMD Mobile K10 DRAM Controller
    AMD Family llh Address Map
    AMD Mobile K10 HyperTransport Configuration
    AMD RS780 Host Bridge

Now, the problem, I am, as with most people, getting stuck at the Apple logo screen, no spinning load wheel or anything, I tried booting with -v and I got no errors, my DVD drive is pretty loud so I have't tried -x yet (since I'm in class)

Can I get a few suggestions of things to try before I uninstall and try again with different settings?

Thank You for your patience and again, I read most threads but if you guys find one that you think will help me then go ahead and point me in the right direction. I am greatly sorry if this issue has been addressed. Thank you again for any help!

I got something different, I don't know if it will help but when I change the boot order from DVD drive to HDD the resolution changes. When booting from the HDD the resolution is higher and clearer but still nothing.

Ok so I reinstalled and tried -v again and it froze up with a message saying BSM auditing present. The lines that appear important read:

    SMBIOS: EF1 Bootloader
    mbinit: done
    Security auditing service present
    BSM auditing present

    anything?? Thanks again

Ok so right now I am installing iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 Lite

Here are the patches, kernels, etc I am using

    - iDeneb Main System (obviously)
    - Chameleon V2
    - 9.5.0 Voodoo Kernel
    - Apple Decrypt
    - Disabler
    - DSDT Patcher
    - Time Machine Fix
    - Open Halt Restart
    - Voodoo PS/2 Controller
    - AboutThisMacFix
    - SystemProfilerFix
    - Voodoo HDA
    - Chipset AHCI SATA/IDE
    - SMBIOS Enabler
    - Apple SMBIOS MacBook
    - Broadcom WiFi
    - ATY_Init

    Any issues that are obvious?

Now, this is my current laptop but there is a Dell XPS m1330 running around in my family that used to be mine that I can probably trade this one for. Would that be a better idea than messing with this Gateway? I noticed that a lot of Dells are supported where Gateways aren't or is that just because less people own Gateway laptops to test this on?
