Please help before I give up!
Alright, so first off, I'll start out by saying hello... I am new to the site and am here seeking help.
My setup (this is my thrash around computer that was given to me by a friend, so i just try weird stuff on it):
Dell Optiplex GX260 (tower)
Processor: 1.80GHz Intel Pentium 4 (Northwood 9 Socket 478 MPGA)
Southbridge: Intel 82801DB ICH4
DIMM1: Nanya NT512D64S8HAAG-7K 512 MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM (2.5-3-3-7 @ 142 MHz) (2.0-3-3-6 @ 133 MHz)
DIMM2: Samsung M3 68L6523DUS-CB3 512 MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM (2.5-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz) (2.0-3-3-6 @ 133 MHz)
Audio: Onboard AC97 AD1981A
Video: Onboard 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV 64MB (set buffer to 8mb)
Other notes: MMX,SSE,SSE2 Support
Onto the issues.
I try installing OSX 10.4.6 and everytime it gets near the end (past iTunes, iChat, and such), and it just says install failure and only gives me the option to reboot. What am I doing wrong?
I have also tried installing iDeneb 10.5.5 and that won't work either. That one I actually get it to install "successfully" so it says, and then I reboot and it just comes to the loading screen and then has the "do not enter" sign over the apple.
Is there anything special I have to do with this install? I am using a 12gb partition.
Thanks in advance!
On another note, I am downloading iPC 10.5.6 PPF4 Final in case it's just my distro's.
