I have built a computer with spare parts in my closet and am trying to install a version of OSX86 on my computer. I have tried iDeneb 1.3 and 1.3, and iPC's version as well. iDeneb installs, but freezes upon reboot. iPc crashes with a kernal panic before it gets a few minutes into loading the disk and freezes, or just reboots constantly. My hardware is as follows:
ASRock P4V88+ Socket 478 MB, PT880 Via Chipset
Intel P4-2.53GHz CPU
120GB PATA WD Hard Drive
HP DVD+/-RW PATA drive
2nd DVD-ROM PATA drive
GeForce4-MX420 64 MB DDR
SoundBlaster Live! PCI Audio
PCI USB 2.0 card
That's it. That's all I have in the computer. I am a PC technician by trade, and know Windows inside and out. However, I don't mind admitting that this "hackintosh" concept is getting the best of me. However, I don't like to lose, and I don't like to quit. I will gladly accept any and all help offered, and answer any questions regarding my installation process. Thanks in advance for the help.
