Question Pavilion DV7T-1000, SL won't detect hard drive?

hi, i have a HP Pavilion dv7T-1000 laptop and it has 2 hard drives. Both are 320gigs. i wanted to use my main drive with windows 7 and the second hard drive for snow leopard 10.6.2 is this possible and what must i do for this to happen please.

    laptop specs:

    Motherboard: Compal Model: 30F4
    Intel Chipset: PM45
    Southbridge: Intel 82801IM (ICH9-M)
Processor: Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T9400
    Memory: 4096 of DDR2
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 512 MBytes
Hard Drives: 2 Seagates ST9320421AS ATA Device
    DVD/CD-ROM: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T30N ATA

I have tried everything to get this to work but keeps failing at the same point. i have tried taking the SL image and doing a restore on my mac and put the image on my usb thumbdrive then used myhack to make it bootable. when i power on my laptop it says "error loading operating system". next i tried using the Empire EFI disk. that would boot up to the screen where it shows two windows logo's and then your supposed to put in the SL DVD and wait a little and hit F5 so i used that side by side with my bootable thumbdrive and i was able to boot the thumbdrive but it fails at still waiting for root device.. so today i burnt Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard to a dvd and it comes to the apple logo and hangs. i tried boot then typing the -v and it hangs at the same place waiting for root device. please help.
not sure how to get it to detect my hard drive. i would to do a dual boot main drive using windows 7 second hard drive in laptop with snow leopard. there is no option in the bios to change anything in regards to making the hard drive read ACHI mode or anything else for that matter.

    Thanks

    Default

This might help you if you have AWARD Bios , IT HELPED ME WHEN I GOT THAT ERROR .

Change these settings in the Bios :

    ■Advanced BIOS Features :
    HDD S.M.A.R.T. Capability [Enabled]
    CPU Enhanced Halt [Disabled]
    CPU Thermal Monitor [Disabled]
    CPU EIST Function [Disabled]
    ■Integrated Pereprhals :
    USB Keyboard Function [Enabled]
    USB Mouse Function [Enabled]
    SATA RAID/AHCI Mode [AHCI]
    Onboard SATA/IDE Device [AHCI]
    ■Power Management Setup :
    HPET Mode [64-bit Mode]

For me , I just changed the SMART Capability & the (SATA RAID/AHCI MODE) and it worked great !!!
