P5NSLI - Audio Issues
Hello, I have a couple things that I'm struggling with for the installation of 10.5.5 on a P5NSLI mother board.
First, not for sure if this is an issue or not, but in System Profiler it recognizes my CPU: Intel® Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7300 @,
but it says:
Total Number Of Cores: 1 (?)
Also, my audio output works fine, however, when I go to sound it says "No input devices found" and in System Profiler it says: No Built-in Audio. (I have a AD1986A)
I'm trying to figure out how I can get an input device installed. Any suggestions would be great.
Some audio cards are not fully supported, so like me your input doesnt work, you need to buy a new card if you need input, check the HCL for it, about your Cores, are you using cpus=1? or did you select cpus=1 in the installation?
Anyway heres a guide just in case

Thanks for the reply.
I'm not using any cpus=1 options during the installation. I did change cpuid to disabled in my bios, but nothing else. I did install OSX with a pentium D and I just swapped it out with the E7300 to get a bit better performance. My installation went really well and its just these two issues I'm struggling with.
Thanks again, greatly appreciated.
I have the same problem on 10.5.1 My board is Asus P5GC-MX/1333
