About LinkBacksCan somebody pls confirm if intel 965RY is ever supported for OSX86 installation? I tried installing Kalyway, iAtkos, ideneb, and another release as well.. Nothing worked. in verbose boot its just struck and in normal boot its struck at apple logo. Can somebody please confirm if intel 965RY is ever supported? I am frustrated to the core,, since I am so desperate to install OSX on my PC.. please help me.. Thanks...

Intel Core 2 duo 1.86mhz 4mb L1 cahche
160Gb SATA hdd.... I also have 80gig IDE HDD
Asus light scribe DVD writer SATA... (tried configuring it as ACHI too... didnt work)
2Gig Kingston 800mhz ram
in built graphics and sound card

In darwin type -v and describe your error or take a photo, what kernel are you trying?

I am using the kernel that comes with iAtkos and kalyway... may be the vanilla one?? how do i change the kernel to a patched one?
I will take a snap of the output in verbose mode and post it up... but how do i change the kernel ??

Check this 1st go to your BIOS and Enable XD Feature (Execute Disable BIT), have to be around your power options.
Before you press the button install, theres a button to your left, called customize, there you can choose kernels, audio, video, lan and other patch for your system, try with toh kernel, modbin, or speedstep.

yes i tried parsing CPUS=1... I dont get the GUI at all.. its struck at apple logo... only if i get the GUI i will be able to customise the kernel options right?
Lmemme take a snap of my verbose boot so that you can get an idea about where i am exactly struck...

This is what i get when i boot with it,...

I even tried booting from an IDE dvd drive.. still no luck..
When i tried to boot using the latest iAtkos and Kalyway release i got some error regarding ACPI state.. I really dont have much options in BIOS to change ACPI state... I have got only one option to change the stae of ACPI from "Wake up".. i dont think it is concerned with this issue..
Please help me...

Make sure you have your IDE Disk as Master with Jumper, not with cable Select or try to get a USB one. One more thing I tho you already installed

Yes it is configured as master... Noes I didnt install it.. In fact, I wa never able to install it... I am craving to have OSX86 on my pc...
Lemme start from the scratch.. Now which distro should i download? I mean which one can i download so that it supports most of the hardware?
Now i am downloading iATKOS 4.1i 10.5.4 DVD for Intel. What kernel does it haz? and what kernel Does kalyway Haz?
