OSx86 distro for P6860FX laptop?
Hey guys! I'd just like to say in advance if this is spam or whatever I'm sorry. I've looked around and I'm not exactly sure what I need to do to install a version of Mac OS X on my laptop. As stated in the title, I have a Gateway P6860FX notebook. Here are detailed specs:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz (T5550)
Hard Drive: 320 GB Serial ATA, 5400 RPM
Motherboard Chipset: Intel PM965 Express
Graphic Processor: NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTS
If you need any more information, here's a website that has it all:

Thanks for the tip! I [acquired] iDeneb v1.4 and burned it and attempted to install it, but it doesn't boot. It gets to the loading screen and then just goes black. Granted, I have no idea what patches to install so I didn't check anything (just wanted to see if it would work, but no such luck). If you could maybe help me with the patches to install I'd really appreciate it
-- Thanks for taking time to help a n00b.
EDIT: Just to make my post a bit clearer, I did in fact INSTALL the os (nothing wrong with my disc or iDeneb), I just have no idea which drivers/kexts to install.

basically need a vanilla kernel, select nvinject for video, acpi x86 if you have ps/2 mouse and keyboard, you can install everything else post installation.
But dunno much about this distro... anyway, did you try to use cpus=1 -v?

It's coming up to the loading screen with the logo and then a "do not enter" type picture goes over the apple (circle with a slash through it).

Same here, my 6860fx ran into a cosmetic accident, it's getting fixed as we speak. While it's getting fixed I happened to pick up a Netbook (Lenovo S10) and setup a dual boot with Leopard and XP. I fell in love with Mac OS X and want to setup the same dual boot on my 6860fx when I get it back. Knowing that it's going to be somewhat of a different process than what I did with my S10, I'm reading up as much as I can on how others made this happen.
Any more suggestions or tips on this? Such as what drivers to select on install, what drivers to install after, what OS to install first. I as well as others would really appreciate it.
