gfx.zip Thank you for sharing. I'm sure many members will need it.
I actually just installed V7 so I could give members some installation tips. I actually had SL 10.6.2 on it and it is much faster, but have not replace the new kernel yet, to further test it out.
Mine is 310M so I replace the video kext later. Thanks again.
Regards

Yes, of course. Why do you want to reformat the whole drive for?
The problem is with windows. OSX needs to be installed in a Primary partition for chameleon to boot ( you can use chameleon to boot window7 without other utility or software).
Win7 if preinstalled will take 3 primary partition, the 4th one sometimes is hard to partition to primary, and that is why you see so many people have problem with booting OSX after install. It goes to a black screen with blinking cursor, because OSX was not installed to the correct partition type, therefore chameleon failed to boot.
So depends how you partition your hard drive for it (or swap leopard to SL, or install SL to ext. USB then clone back to the internal volume).
The actual SL installation is not that hard.

Yes I had the problem of Chameleon not loading previously and I solved it by installing it on a primary partition.
But I've always read Snow Leopard needs to be installed to a GPT partition type or something and the current partition type of my hard drive since Win7 is installed first is MBR.
All the guides I read out there state that I need to install SnowLeopard first and then install Win 7.

Its so weird i tried to install V7 using your guide and the cpus=1 flag but still having the same problem (after sucesful installation the computers reboots when chameleon begins to load the leopard installation).
Your Alien spec are almost the same of mine except i got a I7 820QM proccessor and 8 GB of Ram.

There's your problem - 8 GB RAM
I read somewhere that people were having problems with using 8gb ram with iatkos v7. Theres another boot flag that you need to use and set it to 2048. I think its maxmem=2048 or something. Also your busratio value will be different. Or your last option would be to manually remove 4GB RAM and install it.

Hi,
SL can be installed to either GPT or MBR, and the order is only for managing dual boot setup. But you already got that part.
@kronmx
You can try busratio=17 maxmem=2048 or 4096

I'm sorry to bother you again but i still having the same problem at boot.
I tried -v -x maxmem=2048/4092 cpus=1 busartio=12/17
I tried to use Ideneb distro but the setup didn't recognize my hard drive.
Also i tried to install SL with ibootNvidia but the setup didn't let me install the SO on any partition, the setup asked me to format the hd and create new partitions.
I'm going to make a backup and reformat with SL. I hope this works.
